Curate-a-wall Exhibition
Art Room Gallery - Cannery Arts Centre (April–September 2023)
"Sometimes I wish I were a duck. I would swim, eat, and lie in the sun all day—or just fly away. Fly away from all the struggles and sorrows of the human world."
This exhibition emerged from a period of creative stillness when I was unable to produce art myself and instead found solace in observing birds in their natural habitat. My earlier work - black and white sketches - explored the emotional landscapes of humans, often reflecting melancholia and a struggle to connect with the world. However, after years of chronic illness that distanced me from my practice, I gradually rediscovered art through abstract painting.
This return to art marked a shift - not just in technique, but in perspective - transforming observation into a renewed sense of connection with the world around me.
